SACE (Syndicat des Agents du Conseil de l’Europe)

The S.A.C.E. was the first staff representative body of the Council of Europe, established in 1966, years before the Staff Committee, and was at the very origin of the latter’s creation. It has remained unique, despite the creation of two other unions, in its constant support for all categories of staff, whatever their contract of employment, in its participation in major debates on the Organisation, in its financial support for appeals before the Administrative Tribunal, and in its international partnerships – in particular, through its membership of Union Syndicale Fédérale, of which it was a founding member.
