Union Syndicale Fédérale (USF) has a unique position as the only EU Civil Service trade union within the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC/CES). This distinction underscores our commitment to a strong, democratic, and socially just European public service.
In this context, we stand with the ETUC’s Resolution on Public Services (March 2026). This resolution reaffirms the essential role of universal and rights‑based public services as a foundation of the European social model. It calls for substantial investment, strong workers’ rights, and a renewed commitment to equality, solidarity, and public service autonomy across Europe.
As the trade union for EU public service staff, USF works to strengthen public services. We believe strong public services help protect democracy, improve lives, bring people together, and create a fairer future. By working with ETUC, we make sure EU staff have a voice and help shape policies that benefit everyone.
