Union Syndicale – EASA

Presentation

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Staff Union is a trade union formed by temporary agents, contract agents, and seconded national experts working at EASA in Cologne. The union is headquartered in Cologne and is affiliated to the Union Syndicale Fédérale (USF), a European and International Public Services Federal Trade Union based in Brussels.

The EASA Staff Union shares the objectives and principles of the Union Syndicale Fédérale and extends its solidarity to European and international labour organizations such as PSI, EPSU, ETUC, and ITUC. The union aims to serve and defend the economic, social, professional, and moral interests of its members and staff without any form of discrimination.

The activities of the EASA Staff Union focus on several key areas:

  • Defending the independence, permanence, and competence of the European public service.
  • Seeking recognition of the union’s right to contribute to defining working conditions and employment terms through negotiations and participation in administration.
  • Protecting staff interests through participation in statutory and other bodies for staff representation.
  • Advocating for structures and working methods within European institutions that align with modern multinational administration principles, including the right to remuneration, association, and non-discrimination.

EASA operates independently while affiliating with relevant federations and associations to defend the rights and interests of its members. The union is dedicated to upholding the principles of the European public service and promoting fair working conditions within the organization.
