IPSO (International and European Public Services Organisation)
Presentation
IPSO was founded by the staff of the European Central Bank (ECB) with the support of the trade union federations DAG and ÖTV to represent the professional interests of people working at the ECB and other institutions and agencies in Germany. IPSO was founded on 11 December 1997. IPSO works in the interest of its members by creating and constantly improving a European Public Service dedicated to and inspired by the values of the European Union, namely respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities. IPSO aims to contribute to a society in which pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity and equality between men and women prevail. We are committed to conditions of employment for our members that meet the highest standards for an international public service institution. These must reflect and respect fundamental social rights, International Labour Organisation conventions, and European labour and civil service laws and regulations.
