As public-service workers, we face not only administrative or contractual challenges, but also growing pressures linked to workload, constant availability and poorly structured work \u2014 pressures which jeopardise our mental health and capacity to serve the public effectively. With this appeal, ETUC urges European institutions to recognise that protecting workers\u2019 mental health is not a \u201cnice to have\u201d, but an essential condition for a stable, efficient and human-centred public service.
