This plan will guide our efforts from 2023 to 2027, positioning USF as the only trade union representing a diverse array of European and international organisations. We are uniquely poised to foster solidarity and advocate for the rights of our members.<\/p>\n<h4><em><strong>Highlighting Our Unique Strengths<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p>The USF&#8217;s strength lies in its broad coverage of international organisations, setting it apart from other unions that typically focus on singular entities like the European Union or the United Nations. Moving forward, USF aims to point out horizontal issues, steering clear of contentious debates surrounding EU staff regulations. Instead, we will convene dedicated working groups to tackle these discussions, reinforcing our commitment to covering more EU agencies and attracting additional Europe-based international organisations.<\/p>\n<h4><em><strong>Building Our Approach Through International Solidarity<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p>As the only trade union embedded in international trade union cooperation, it is crucial for USF to leverage this unique position in our branding efforts. We stand firm in our support for multilateral cooperation and EU integration while maintaining a non-political stance. Our commitment to defending the rights of all staff, particularly those in precarious positions, is central to our mission.<\/p>\n<h4><em><strong>Cultivating Inclusivity and Collaboration<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p>USF\u2019s strength also lies in its federative nature, which allows for diverse approaches while promoting common goals. We recognise the importance of inclusivity, offering mediation when necessary to resolve conflicts within sections. Equality among member organisations remains paramount, ensuring that the interests of all staff take precedence.<\/p>\n<h4><em><strong>Prioritizing Communication and Coalition Building<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p>Effective communication of our policies and successes is essential. As we implement the six key resolutions adopted during the Congress\u2014ranging from digitalisation to ecological sustainability\u2014we will create working groups to monitor progress and encourage member engagement. Building coalitions with other trade unions will further our political aims and enable coordinated actions to support our members.<\/p>\n<h4><em><strong>Progressing Further<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p>With the resolutions as a foundation, USF is ready to take significant steps in advocating for the rights and well-being of international staff. This strategic plan (2023-2027) will guide our efforts to advance a safe and inclusive workplace, fight against harassment and abuse of power, and emphasize the principles laid out in the European Social Charter and ILO conventions.<\/p>\n<p>The active members of our sections play a vital role as ambassadors of our mission, sharing knowledge and advocating for their colleagues. Together, we will navigate the challenges ahead, ensuring that the voice of international staff is perceived and respected.<\/p>\n<p>As we embark on this journey, we invite all members to engage actively with these initiatives, take on trade union responsibilities, and contribute to the collective strength of the USF.
